A few words on tonight’s [Finder] episode:

I watched this episode only because JFD was in it (just to put things into perspective, that’s pretty much the only reason I watch Bones too). Will I watch another episode of Finder in the future.? I don’t know. Perhaps I will, if I have nothing else to watch on TV.

So, what about tonight’s episode? I’d give it a B+ .

- Our Sweets was awesome. This episode really let JFD show his comedic chops, and he really shined in this episode. He had great chemistry with the cast, especially Walter (Geoff Stults). They obviously had a lot of fun filming this episode, and it was very evident on screen.

Comedy aside, though, John got his dramatic scenes (which he so loves to shoot) as well. That last scene in the bar was just beautiful for Sweets, and really… it did ABSOLUTE justice to his character. Sweets really has the gift of a truly good heart. Before this episode aired, I was a littleworried that Sweets would be in it just for laughs, but really, that last scene was beautiful, and I love how the episode ended in his perspective. That scene alone made the episode for me. Sweets’ reaction to Walter’s story and the way he looked at the reunited couple: JFD at his finest… and I loved how the director showcased exactly that.

I also loved the way they showed Sweets’ skills as a criminal investigator as well. What can I say, Sweets is so smart (though sadly he didn’t get the chance to shoot people). Also, it’s great that Sweets was so concerned with motives (for the crime as well as Walter), a trait which was explained beautifully in Bones’ Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.

-Walter was alright.. and he was way less annoying than he was in the backdoor premiere last April. I just wish that the show would STOP boring us to death with repeated mentions of his “gift”. We get it…. can we just, move on? Some things are better shown than told.

- I couldn’t care less about the Willa character. It seems that she is only in the show to attract the younger end of the all-important 18-49 demographic. But really, her character is a total waste of screen time.

- Leo, played, by MCD, was a pretty interesting character, although he didn’t get to show much in this episode.

- Isabel. Ok, also, what the hell is she doing on the show?
